Mechanical Engineering (Fitter & Turner) Apprenticeship

The Opportunity:

Our host company has been established for over 30 years and are looking for an Engineering Mechanical Apprentice to join their team. They operate to a high standard in precision manufacturing to provide their customers with total engineering solutions across all industries.

Duties may include:

• Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
• Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components
• Using hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines
• Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
• Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
• Operating lathes, machining centres, sheet metal folders, and benders
• Wide variety of welding practices including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding  

About You:

• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• Completion of Year 10 High School
• Drivers Licence desirable but not essential
• Willing to undertake police check and pre employment medical if required
