The Engineering Institute of Technology is seeking a highly motivated Part-time Laboratory Technician to be an integral member of the laboratory Team!
This role is initially part-time with a potential increase to full-time depending on the performance and deliverables.

About the role:
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Assist in daily operations in workshops, laboratories and research facilities, optimising space and resources for classes and projects.
- Ensure maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment and facilities.
- Assist in building experimental kit or prototypes for educational purpose.
- Calibrate, operate and troubleshoot prototypes.
- Prepare and review documents which includes operating procedures, step-by-step experimental setups, performance guidelines, data acquisition and calculation templates.
- Identify solutions to the problems involving laboratory equipment.
- Assist in the conversion of physical laboratory setup to Internet-based remote-access laboratory.
- Ensure quality control of prototypes.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
- You hold a relevant engineering degree/ Trade Certificate or have significant experience and expertise in technical or laboratory operations.
- Previous experience working in industry or academia
- Ability to work flexible hours in order to attend occasional activities held outside normal office hours
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of MS-office suite
