We are currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Assistant for a 12 Month Fixed Term contract to work in the routine clinical Molecular Pathology department at the Osborne Park Laboratory.
The main focus of this position is the primary processing of patient samples for analysis.
The following are the essential requirements for this role:
- Available to work afternoon/evening and weekend shift hours
- A minimum of one year's previous experience in a clinical laboratory
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a small team with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- Right to work in Australia
- Proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19
Preferred:
- Diploma (or equivalent) in Laboratory techniques/technology with a pathology focus
- Experience with automated molecular instrumentation
The successful candidate will be part of a team that covers the operational hours from 7am to 12 midnight Monday to Sunday in our Molecular Pathology department.
You will be required to work 38hrs per week on a roster of weekday evening shifts, with participation in the weekend roster. This role predominantly works evening shift 4pm to Midnight, 5 days per week, including a Saturday rotation of 12pm to 8pm.
Availability to work afternoon, evening and weekend shift hours is essential.
