ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will lead the engineering team’s journey to elevate performance and foster a culture of innovation. Your leadership will be instrumental in refining operational processes to contribute to the organisation’s long-term success and sustainability.
KEY DUTIES
- Lead, guide, train and support the engineering team.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of engineering activities.
- Conduct technical reviews of engineering design data and outputs to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and communicate a clear engineering strategic plan that is in aligned with the divisional strategic plan.
- Set clear performance objectives and KPIs for the engineering team and monitor/evaluate team performance against established metrics.
- Manage the engineering budgets assigned to projects, activities, product improvement, and research.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Demonstrated experience leading a high performing team.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in conveyor and bulk handling equipment design.
- Experience using AutoDESK Inventor CAD Software.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
Although not essential, being familiar with ISO9001: Quality Management Systems would be an advantage.
