About the role

Due to the continued expansion of their core business, we're now on the hunt for anEngineering Lead who'll be at the forefront of the project and leading the engineering team and be responsible for the projects and engineering outcomes. It will involve managing resources and the overall quality of the work being executed throughout their projects, from design packages in an EPC and D&C environment through to the successful delivery of their projects.

Our client is currently executing a construction project of a large storage unit to improve the access and provide efficiency for future assets and trade growth.

Duties:

• To continuously develop and improve the companies designs and procedures
• Support in design reviews and strive for continuous improvement
• Be at the forefront of the project and the go to for all personnel
• Liaise with stakeholders, Senior Managers and Project Managers.
• Provide project forecasts and reports
• Liaise and interface with clients and manage the relationships between all facets of the business
• Support with tender RFI's and queries
• Contribute and support to the development of suitable WBS structures for all projects
• Provide design reviews in tenders and pre contract
• Ensure that work is executed in line with project schedule
• Review contractor master schedules against project timeline
• Provide solutions and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle
• Liaise with Managers to track progress on projects
• Ensure all personnel fulfil their obligations
• Coach mentor and support personnel throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead risk reviews throughout different phases of the project and support in driving safety

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a similar position
• Highly motivated and can work well within a team and autonomously
• Ability to develop and maintain relationship
• Solution based
• Previous experience within the Bulk Material handling, construction, mining industry - essential
• Positive outlook, good work ethic, and ability to build relationships.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree - a background in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical disciplines
• Previous experience within the Bulk Material handling, construction, mining industry - essential
• Minimum of 4 years in a lead position
• Hold a valid Construction White Card.
• Valid Australian Driver's License
• Full Australian working rights
