Community Solutions are seeking candidates that are interested in commencing an Engineering Machinist Apprenticeship based at Caloundra Airport on the Sunshine Coast. If you are a recent school leaver, or mature age candidate wanting to complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, we encourage you to apply!

This full-time opportunity is for candidates who have the dedication to complete a 4-year apprenticeship with a large company that provides a range of custom products and services within the aerospace manufacturing industry.

The successful candidate must have strong knowledge and passion to work with CNC machines within the engineering industry and have a good attitude and work ethic.

The skills associated with this qualification are intended to apply to a wide range of mechanical trade work, including undertaking fitting, assembly, manufacture, installation, modification, testing, fault finding, maintenance and service of mechanical equipment, machinery, and the use of machine tools.

Requirements

• Interest and passion for manufacturing aviation products
• Drivers Licence, or able to get to and from Caloundra Airport. Limited public transport is available
• Understand the importance of workplace health and safety
• High workplace standards
• Certificate II in Engineering is highly regarded
• Strong Interest in learning and operating CNC Machines
• Strong Attention to detail

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
