Purpose of Role:
As an experienced Patternmaker you will join a leading manufacturer in Artarmon, providing engineered solutions for our onsite Foundry, dedicated to the mining and mineral sector.

You will be responsible for supporting Weir Minerals through the effective creation and modification of patterns, to be used in the casting process for our world class pumps.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

• Design and set out polystyrene, production and precision patterns and models
• Interpret technical drawings & identify job requirements 
• Perform computations and engineering managements
• Use hand, power and general machinist tools
• Manufacture pattern and core boxes
• Mount the pattern and runner system
• Modify pattern equipment & modify pattern measurements to make allowances for shrinkage

Job Knowledge:

• Tertiary qualifications in Patternmaking to AQF III (trade) level or above.
• Extensive working experience within Patternmaking working with timber, plastic and metal.
• Prior experience in CAD modelling and CNC programming for 5 axis milling (Essential)
• Experience in foundry environment (Desirable)
