The role
Reporting into the Engineering Quality Manager, this role will support and maintain the Engineering Quality Management System, actively drive continual improvement, and promote high standards and compliance within the Engineering department. Key responsibilities include:
- Perform scheduled internal audits of aircraft maintenance and airworthiness procedures and ensure findings are rectified within an accepted timescale.
- Investigate, report, and resolve non-conformances identified through audit processes and incident investigations.
- Maintain and review procedures, manuals, records, and other documentation as required.
- Assist in the review of quality related safety events as required.
- Evaluate Suppliers and maintain the Supplier Register.
- Monitor the organisation’s procedures and standard practices and ensure they are compliant with the current regulations.
- Define the Human Factors principles to be implemented within Engineering.
About you
To be successful, the Engineering Quality Coordinator will have a good understanding of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations that apply to aircraft maintenance and airworthiness requirements and will promote a safe and positive work ethic and culture.
Critical to this position is your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated report writing capabilities. You will also be expected to effectively manage competing priorities whilst following procedures and meeting deadlines, with high attention to detail. You are excited to work in a high performing team and roll up your sleeves to achieve success and help save lives across Australia.
You will be proficient with all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook, are able to work independently and will come with a flexible approach to work, to match CareFlight’s operational requirements.
The following will be highly regarded:
- Aviation industry experience.
- Qualifications in auditing.
- Knowledge of CASA regulations.
- Knowledge and understanding of Maintenance Human Factors.
- Experience using the Aerotrack database and Air Maestro
