About the role
The role of Engineering Software Team Lead will be a key member of the team and is responsible for ensuring software engineering activities are delivered in accordance set timelines and quality, and the resourcing of the team and technology is managed to ensure new and ongoing projects are supported and set up for success.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that the software development process is followed by the team.
- Provide software development plans to meet the product and market requirements.
- Evolve existing software development processes and product architecture as needed.
- Work with internal and external product stakeholders to plan and execute projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to ensure individual and team optimum performance.
About You
This engaging opportunity will align with an experienced software engineering Team Leader or supervisor, that is looking to develop their existing technical and leadership skills within our Tactical Communications Engineering Software Team. To be successful in your application you will have demonstrated experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, software development on embedded devices using C, C++ and Qt and have a passion for delivering hands on engineering activities and leading and developing the internal team and aligned systems and technology.
Additionally, you will be degree qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field.
