They have installed Structural Steel across Victoria and the firm has developed into a highly regarded and well-respected company within the construction industry. Sectors worked include townhouses, residential and commercial projects.As they continue to grow and prosper, they are now seeking a skilled experienced Engineering Technologist to work with them on the next stage of their development.The job is full time, and ongoing.The facilities are located in Melbourne's west, in Merrimu, Vic.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative structural steel solutions that meet project requirements and specifications.Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, etc.) to create detailed drawings, models, and technical documentation for fabrication and construction purposes.Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, proposals, and project documentation.Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for optimization in design processes, workflows, and project execution.Support quality control and assurance processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety on all projects.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering and construction.To be successfully considered we expect to see:Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant fieldsWell-developed technical abilities in material / chemical engineering as well as proven mechanical and electronic engineering skillsAt least 3 or more years highly relevant professional experienceExcellent time management skillsAbility to work under pressure.Well-developed communication skillsIdeally you will have strong knowledge in relevant industry requirements (in the area of steel fabrication especially) and relevant emerging technologies.Critical - unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia.Applications:Salary, negotiable in the range $70k -$90k plus super per annum is on offer along with a collegiate and welcoming work environment.Please apply using the facilities on this site and ensure you attach an updated resume.We can only respond to shortlisted candidates, so we apologise in advance if we don't respond to your application.
