Perhaps you’re one of them.Meet your teamThe Outsourced Finance team is an integral part of the Business Advisory & Assurance division of Pitcher Partners Melbourne. Our team, consisting of around 40 employees, provides end-to-end finance and administrative services to a diverse clientele spanning various industries, including renewable energy, infrastructure and asset management, retail, finance and technology. By working closely with our clients, we gain valuable insights into their businesses, allowing us to guide them through strategic decision-making and goal realisation. We also connect our clients with other areas of Pitcher Partners, ensuring they receive the right guidance precisely when they need it.About the roleThe responsibilities of the role include supporting and managing business projects and process improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with all levels across the business and participate in analysing requirements, identifying areas of improvement, delivering solutions, and troubleshooting.Key responsibilities
- Preparation and review of periodic management accounts and reconciliation packs in line with client reporting deadlines;
- Preparation and review of annual statutory financial reports (audited and unaudited);
- Preparation and review of key balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations;
- Preparation and review of 3-way financial budgets, reforecasts and cash flow forecasts;
- Preparation and review of technical accounting position papers and income tax returns;
- Attendance to information requests and ad hoc queries – as we provide a full service offering there are a lot of ad hoc requests that come through;
- Providing support to junior staff to assist in their development and ensuring client outcomes are delivered on time
- Consider business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements

QualificationsYou have completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or something similar. You have also completed, or are currently studying towards your CA or CPA.
Essential experienceYou have some prior accounting experience within either professional services or industry.Prior experience in any of the following is desireable: Xero, NetSuite, MYOB Advanced, SAP, Excel, VBA, Python, Power BI, Reckon APS, CaseWare
