About you
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced teachers, with a real passion for developing a love of learning in young people, for this temporary, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024 at the College with a possible permanent appointment. This position would also be suitable for a beginning year teacher.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
- support and commitment to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education
- success as a Stage 4 English Teacher
- successful experience in improving student literacy
- the ability to implement high impact teaching strategies to improve literacy and learning outcomes for every student
- the ability to integrate ICT into teaching and learning programs
- the skills and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management
- strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration and quality relationships in working with others.
Desirable Criteria:
- the ability to teach Religious Education
- ability and willingness to lead and support a range of co-curricular events.
You will have attained:
- a Tertiary qualification in Education
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
