About the English Teacher Position
The English Teacher position on offer presents an exciting opportunity for an educator to teach Year 7 to 12 students in a full-time, permanent capacity, at the commencement of Term 2. There is opportunity to take on additional responsibilities in curriculum or wellbeing, for the right candidate. While experience in handling HSC curriculum is ideal, the school is open to supporting a teacher keen on developing these skills, provided they are confident in teaching these year groups. They are looking for an individual who aspires to make a significant impact beyond the classroom, someone who is enthusiastic about contributing to the growth and culture of the school and fostering a vibrant learning environment for our students. There may also be an opportunity for leadership responsibilities, depending on experience.
Skills & Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging English curriculum to Year 7-12 students, with a willingness to learn and teach HSC content.
- Strong classroom management skills to create a conducive learning environment for diverse student groups across various age levels.
- Aptitude for assessing student progress, providing effective feedback, and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, engaging with parents, and contributing to school-wide initiatives.
- Passion for contributing to the school's culture and extracurricular activities, going beyond academic teaching to support holistic student development.
- NESA registration or eligibility to obtain
