The College has an extensive offering of accredited courses with a focus on English language, foundational skills and pathways to employment, As a community organisation the College strives to assist students in realising their potential and providing pathways into employment and further education.
We are seeking experienced English teachers to deliver classes at our campuses in Epping, Chatswood and Blacktown as well as in a variety of community locations. Classes are delivered during school hours and generally over 2 or 3 days a week. Multiple classes may be available to teachers seeking more work. The teaching and training is done in the face to face teaching/training environment.
Our English classes are delivered using courses from the Foundation Skills training package and the Certificate of General Education for Adults.
Candidates MUST have the following:
- TAE 40116 or TAE 40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment +TAELLN411 and TAEASS502
- Post Graduate TESOL qualification or a similar
- At least 100 hours teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) during the last 3 years
As well as the required qualifications and experience we are looking for skills to engage people from non-English speaking backgrounds and those facing barriers to employment. We want trainers that have a genuine passion for assisting students on pathways to sustainable employment and the ability to be flexible to the unique needs of our students.
A high level of computer literacy as well as advanced written and verbal communication skills are essential components to success in this role.
