About Womens Health Clinics
The Women’s is a tertiary referral center for women with complex needs. The outpatient service accommodates a number of specialist clinics such as gynaecology, abortion and contraception, urogynaecology, menopause, vulva/dermatology, menopause symptoms after cancer clinics, breast, oncology, early pregnancy advisory service, chronic pelvic pain clinic and colposcopy.
The facility also includes the Ambulatory Gynaecology Service which provides minor gynaecology procedures under local anaesthetic, as well as other procedural clinics such as, urodynamic investigation, insertion of contraceptive intrauterine devices and outpatient cystoscopies.
About the role
The Women’s Health Enrolled Nurse will support the Women’s Health Registered Nurses, Clinic Co-ordinators, Clinic Triage and AUM’s, in the smooth running of the clinics and satellite areas. The Women’s Health Clinic Enrolled Nurse will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the effective operation of the clinics with the outcome of efficient service delivery consistent with the Gynaecology, Cancer and Perioperative Strategic Plan, and where appropriate consult with patients to provide assessment and evidenced based clinical information to assist the patient in making informed choices in their healthcare. Through consultation, communication and liaison with stakeholders, the Women’s Health Enrolled Nurse will ensure that women attending the Women’s Health Clinics remain the focus of care.
