Pay rate: 

Enrolled Nurses - $41.00 + penalties + superannuation (inc. cas loading) based on experience.

Due to ongoing expansive growth, QHACS (Queensland Health Academy’s Care Service) is looking for motivated Enrolled Nurses to provide holistic and person-centered community nursing care and support to our clients. 

The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe and effective nursing care, under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).

For Enrolled Nurses:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the development, modification, and evaluation of care plans
• Administration of medications
• PEG management
• IMI and Sub cut injections
• Ventilation and tracheostomy care
• Able to administer insulin using sliding scale
• Attending to wound dressings
• Attending to catheter flushes
• Visiting client homes to provide nursing care
• Work a rotating roster
• Complete comprehensive progress notes
• Liaise with GPs, care coordinators, RNs and allied health
• Provide direction and supervision to support workers
• Attend to medical emergencies and provide first aid as required

Essential requirements Enrolled Nurses (selection criteria):

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse with no restrictions 
• Diploma of Nursing 
• Willingness to work across both AM and PM shifts with occasional nights
• First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to acquire)
• National Police Check (or willingness to acquire)
• Worker Screening check (or willingness to acquire)
• Ability to work within indirect supervision requirements
• Proven technological, communication and time management skills
• A passion for providing quality care
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Driver's license 
• Willing to travel to client's homes

*May consider new graduates nurses with a carer or support worker background.
