SalaryMater Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Enrolled Nurse to join the Day Surgery Unit. This position will be offered on a permanent part-time basis at 24 hours per week.
The Day Surgery Unit will see you working within a range of areas including Pre-operative waiting area, Day Surgery admission and Discharge area and the 23 Hour Unit. Our exceptional nursing team are required to provide quality care across all of these areas, which will present opportunities and variety, shift by shift; our team will be required to seamlessly integrate to work under different senior staff as appropriate.
Salary range: $34.84 - $ 37.10 (Enrolled Nurse) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you'll be doing
Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
To be successful in your application you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
- Previous demonstrated experience within a pre and post-operative nursing care in an acute setting
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
- The ability to work well autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
