The Enrolled Nurse Role
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to promote optimal patient outcomes. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidenced based, recovery-oriented services across the multidisciplinary Limestone Coast Local Health Network Mental Health (LHN MH) appropriate to the needs of the consumer and the local community. Under the direction of a registered nurse, you will make decisions and take initiative to plan and complete nursing care tasks within your scope of practice. Demonstrating knowledge and skill in assessment, care and routine procedures for area of practice, you will implement appropriate Mental Health nursing care from consumer care plans in accordance with the relevant scope of practice. You will provide assistance to other members of the health care team in provision of care to individuals/groups, including overseeing the work of students.
Your ability to develop cooperative relations with a range of people and participate as a member of a team will be essential to success in this role. Enrolled as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. Bringing experience in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will possess good organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise workload, recognise and report changes in clinical condition. Your experience will reflect sound knowledge and understanding the role of the Enrolled Nurse within the health care setting, in addition to knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards.
