The Role
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Enrolled Nurse looking for an opportunity to make a difference in patient care? Port Lincoln Hospital is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Operating Theatre team and contribute to the provision of person-centered care.
As an Enrolled Nurse at Port Lincoln Hospital, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Registered Nurses and Midwives in delivering high-quality healthcare services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centered care in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements, under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurses/Midwives.
- Practicing at a level ranging from novice to proficient, with opportunities for growth and development.
- Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Taking responsibility for your actions and remaining accountable in providing nursing/midwifery care.
Positions available:
- Ongoing Part Time (24 hours per week over a 6 day roster)
- Temporary Part Time (24 hours per week over a 6 day roster, 6 month contract)
About You
- Enrolled as an Enrolled Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate.
- A team player able to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- You will have experience in the provision of nursing and or midwifery care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Ability to prioritise workload, recognise and report changes in clinical condition
- You will have the ability to engage with a broad range of people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures, reflecting your high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, you will have sound knowledge and understanding the role of the Enrolled Nurse within the health care setting.
- Experience in the use of computer packages e.g Microsoft Word, Excel

Port Lincoln Hospital a modern 48-bed hospital complete with Special Care unit, Chemotherapy/Renal dialysis Unit and Operating Rooms facilities. There is a wide range of visiting surgeons and the facility provides medical, special care, surgical, obstetric, palliative care and services for children. Applicant Information
Two part time vacancies are available, each working 24 hours per week and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
