  • Part time role – 32 hours per week
  • 8, or 12 hour shifts - no on-call
  • 32 beds – specialising in ENT/ ortho/ plastics/ paeds
  • Fast paced high turnover ward, a great team ethic and work environment
  • EN Grade 2 - $35.75 - $38.72/hr plus super

About the role

Brisbane Private Hospital has exciting opportunities for Enrolled Nurses, with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established General Surgical & Paediatric unit on either a part time or full time basis.

We are a 32 bed, fast paced, high turnover ward specialising in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and Paediatrics (both adult and paeds), along with other general surgical specialities. Having many surgical specialities, this is an ideal role for a surgical nurse wanting to use and grow their skills.

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane’s leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.

 As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Administer medications according to state law and organization policy
  • Act as a role model for Safe Practice

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma of Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year acute hospital experience as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
