This is a once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity.Head office in Europe set guidelines for global technology standards, whilst individual regions and countries develop technology ecosystems to meet the unique needs of their market. Woking in the Asia Region Technology team who report into the global IT team in Europe, the EAA is being hired to map and rearchitect the application environment for one of the largest countries in the Asia region.The aim of this role is to realign the countries Applications Architecture in meeting global applications methodologies and standards. However, the aim is not solely standardisation. You will work with the in-country team, whilst learning from other major global operations to ensure that new tools better meet their unique market needs. Ideally, once the new application roadmap is created and then rolled out, it will serve as a template for systems standards and excellence for adoption in other large regional businesses.Key Requirements
- You must be able to regularly attend the Inner Southern Sydney Offices in order to learn and collaborate as part of the Asia Region Technical Team.
- Whilst you will have total autonomy in owning and managing your role, you will need to be available to regularly communicate with European headquarters and the US.
- To collaborate with other regions and learn from their application architecture journeys, you will need to travel around 5-6 times per year. This will be within Asia, as well as to Europe and the US.
- Technical expertise - You will bring the applications and architecture expertise to map a complex systems environment and then rearchitect a new roadmap. You will likely have expertise in frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman to guide the systematic planning, design, and implementation of enterprise architecture. You will likely have worked with major ERP's and ideally SAP.
- Learning - You will bring a hunger to learn. To create this unique architecture, you will lean on the expertise of other countries and regions and their learnings from having created unique technology ecosystem for their own markets.
- Driving Collaboration - Your stakeholder and change management expertise to win the buy-in and support of all key stakeholders (country, region and global) and guiding and taking them on the journey, will likely be the most difficult and important part of success in this role.
