About the Role
The Enterprise Architect plays a critical role within UTS by aligning enterprise-wide architectures and technology solutions with the strategic goals of the organization. The Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the overall Enterprise Architecture framework to support UTS's business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of technology trends, business capabilities, and IT strategy, as well as the ability to translate these into practical solutions.
The architectural landscape at UTS is broad, complex and quickly evolving. Enterprise Architects will typically
be aligned to particular business-focused or architecture-focused domains (e.g. business, information, data,
integration, infrastructure, cloud, security etc).
About You
As the Enterprise Architect, you will have:
• Extensive experience working as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar role, preferably within the higher education sector or a large complex organisation.
• Demonstrated knowledge across the business, information and application architecture domains, with extensive contemporary experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, including identity & access mgmt., security, IT service mgmt., network and modern pipeline-driven hybrid cloud architecture.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and related methodologies. Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, SAFe, or similar are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in leading the design and implementation of Enterprise Architecture strategies, blueprints and roadmaps that deliver on the business strategy and take advantage of opportunities to improve business performance.
• Experience leading and supporting Architecture Governance activities and forums. This would include developing and raising awareness of architectural guardrails (e.g. principles, standards, patterns and policies) that drive consistency and best practice.
• Strong understanding of technology trends, emerging technologies, and their potential impact on Enterprise Architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and pragmatically and apply agile principles to optimize and enhance overall efficiency.
• Outstanding communication skills and the proven ability to translate business needs and aspirations into technical blueprints and solutions and communicate complex concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
• Prior experience and success leading teams and providing coaching and mentoring to others, facilitating career development and professional growth.
Remuneration
A competitive and comprehensive remuneration package will be offered.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
