About the role
Southern Ports is recruiting an IT Enterprise Architect to join their team in Perth on a 2 year fixed term contract.
Reporting to the CIO, The IT Enterprise Architect will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive enterprise-wide technology solutions. The EA will work collaborating with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors, you will provide technical and architectural guidance across both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) domains. This technical leadership position involves establishing and driving technical governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and standards, and actively contributing to disaster recovery planning (DRP) and cybersecurity elements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture roadmaps, principles, information repository, and standards for both IT and OT.
- Lead the identification and assessment of new technologies, defining architectural standards for all technology services.
- Champion innovation within the roadmap, ensuring resource alignment, and translate process automation strategy into a prioritised roadmap.
- Participate in technology governance processes, boards, and committees to influence solution alignment and manage risks.
- Negotiate with stakeholders and vendors to align the Enterprise Architecture roadmap with organisational business objectives.
- Lead and mentor teams to ensure effective implementation of Enterprise Architecture.
- 8+ years of experience in technology management and Enterprise Architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven expertise in cloud technologies, especially in platforms like Azure and AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of architectural principles and technologies related to SaaS, PaaS, integration patterns, and application servers.
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, Industrial IoT, and cybersecurity controls within a regulated industry setting.
- Experience across Microsoft Stack
Requirements
To be eligible for this 2-year fixed-term role, applicants must reside in Perth and provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
The successful applicant must have a current WA driver’s licence, be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Access Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
