You will oversee delivering the JD Edwards, BI, Kronos and associated applications for our client
You will work closely with the finance managers and Business leadeship to implement and monitor the appropriate processes to achieve maximum benefit for the business
Responsibilities
To analyse Senior leaders and user requirements, business procedures and reported problems to automate processing or to improve existing business processes through implementation, upgrade and/or configuration enhancement of the JD Edwards ERP solution and associated applications
Conduct system testing, documentation and training
Consult with the managers in the business to analyse current operational procedures, identify problems and opportunities for improvement and learn specific input and output requirements
Determine the forms of data input, how data is to be summarised and the formats required for reports and inquiries
Write detailed descriptions of user needs, process steps and configuration settings to deliver the required outcome
Review information system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations to determine if the requested process or process change is possible within the existing system
Provide on-going support and advice to users of the systems to ensure the systems continue to support existing and changed business practices
Provide second level support for JD Edwards and associated applications issues raised by users through the Service Desk
Provide assistance for the application security configuration
Maintain change control in accordance to with procedures, including documentation and testing of application changes
Have a thorough understanding of customer contracts to ensure obligated services are fulfilled on time and on budget within the ERP system
Skills & attributes
- 5 years’ experience in IT, Business
- Experience in JD Edwards implementation and support
- Experience/background in accounting/finance
- Experience with consulting
- Computer skills – Deep understanding of JDE ERP solutions and a base understanding of Windows Operating System, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Travel to the company sites if required
- 1 to 2 days / week in Newcastle
