We specialise in the shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raiseboring, underground construction, coal mining, engineering & technical services and specialty services to the underground industry.
About the Project
Olympic Dam Mine, operated by the largest mining company in the world, BHP is approximately 550km North-West of Adelaide mining copper, gold and uranium. Redpath commenced a new contract in July 2023 providing Shotcreting, Cablebolting, Batch Plant services and Fleet maintenance. As one of the largest contractors on site you will gain valuable experience to help grow your career in mining.
The Role:
We have Entry Level positions available including:
- Shotcrete Nippers
- Agi Truck Operators
Working shift work on a rotating roster as part of a crew to either operate a fleet of brand new Agi trucks in an underground environment. Or support our Shotcrete Operators as an offisider / nipper. You will be working 12 hour shifts on either a 7/7 or 14/14 or 14/7 roster whilst staying in camp at Olympic Dam.
Workers can choose to live residentially, Drive in/Drive out to Roxby Downs, catch a charter flight from Adelaide or hop on a free bus from Adelaide, Port Pirie, Port Augusta or Port Wakefield to camp.
We are looking for
- Valid Drivers licence, able to drive a manual vehicle
- Some experience operating machinery/trucks or manual labour experience
- Shift work experience desirable
- MR/HR Truck licences desirable
- South Australian Residency – Essential
- Willingness to obtain first aid/CPR before starting
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical
- Able to pass a police clearance
- Able to attend an interview day in Adelaide on 30 May 2024
