The RoleSo how does Accommodation management fit in? The answer – everywhere! To ensure our Workers are safely accommodated across Australia in close proximity to our valued customer sites, we source and provide a range of accommodation properties that meet specific requirements. This role is critical in managing all PGP Accommodation sites to ensure they are operating in an efficient, safe and compliant manner by overseeing all aspects of accommodation optimisation, maintenance and strict adherence to safety and tenancy regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing comprehensive planning for all Accommodation site usage, considering factors such as cost, scheduling and usage capacity, in conjunction with the Area Managers.
- Ensuring appropriate accommodation options are available when and where required including negotiating of accommodation agreements.
- Establishing and evaluating appropriate performance standards and working with Area Managers to check and manage accommodation sites on a weekly basis, including regular maintenance checks.
- Managing worker accommodation entry and exit processes to ensure all premises are left in a suitable condition.
- Managing bond/guarantee recovery process including negotiating damages claims from accommodation suppliers, utilising insurance process when required, and improving monitoring processes to reduce overall damage claims.
- Proactively identifying and addressing issues that may impact accommodation efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesDoes this sound like you?
- Proven experience in accommodation management, ideally on a national scale.
- A transformation mindset with the ability and desire to identify needs and drive change – ultimately creating an optimised accommodation management process you can call your own.
- Ability to manage accommodation maintenance schedules, identify basic issues, and coordinate repairs on a national basis.
- Ability to sometimes travel nationally as required.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Strong safety focus with the ability to implement and enforce safety protocols.
- Excellent at prioritizing tasks, managing multiple deadlines, and keeping operations running smoothly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with demonstrated experience of building strong working relationships in a respectful, collaborative manner.
- In-depth knowledge of accommodation regulations and safety standards.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience (preferably across multiple sites).
- Demonstrated experience working with different cultures and nationalities.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to build rapport and manage potentially difficult situations.
- Ability to analyse situations, identify problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Current Valid driver’s license.
