Environmental Advisor - Mining Fifo

We are currently partnering with one of Australia’s leading battery minerals companies who are well-funded with a highly experienced board and have a number of exciting projects in Western Australia.

Due to continued exploration and progression of their projects and discoveries, they are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Environmental Advisor to assist with delivering the environmental requirements for the company’s growth strategy.

This is an important role for the company and will involve liaising with consultants, site based staff and other stakeholders to oversee issues relating to Environmental Management, Compliance, Impact Assessments, Approvals, Rehabilitation activities, Flora and Fauna Surveys and more.

You will be working in a small, friendly, positive team and being involved in a wide variety of task. You will be given autonomy and plenty of support and mentoring from an experienced environmental manager with a wealth of knowledge to share.

The role will be FIFO Perth on a 7/7 roster but there may be some occasional days required in the Perth office, for which you will accrue time in Lieu if these are outside your normal roster

The ‘Ideal’ candidate will have:

• A Tertiary degree in Environmental Science or similar
• At least 2 + years’ experience in a similar role including site-based Mining experience (ideally in exploration).
• (More experienced candidates with around 3 – 8 years are also encouraged to apply as salary and level are negotiable)
• An understanding of W.A state environmental Legislation including Part 5 Approvals / Mining Act
• Experience in GIS software (desirable, but not essential)
• Manual C Class Driver’s License
• Experience working in remote locations
• 4WD Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• The ability to be practical, organised and communicate clearly
• The ability to liaise effectively with a variety of different stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
• Good interpersonal skills including a positive, and adaptable attitude and the ability to fit in well with a small, friendly team of professionals.
