About your new role

In your new role as the next Environmental Assessment Officer, you will provide consistent, high quality expert advice and decision making on the assessment and management of development applications in accordance with environmental local, state and commonwealth legislation, objectives, policies and guidelines, and within statutory and business timeframes to ensure the City's natural landscape and biodiversity is protected and enhanced.

We're looking for people who have:

  • Experience in environmental planning, or similar, and will be able to provide advice on a diverse range of environmental issues relating to development assessment within City Development.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on consultation and negotiation.  
  • Experience in flora and fauna surveys and assessment is advantageous but not mandatory as training will be provided
