Environmental Assessment Officer (200683) 

Maximum Term Contract Full Time - 36.25 hours per week - 6 months

$71,379.10 to $91,736.94  Annually  + up to 12% super  

RCC Officers' Level 2.4 to 5.3

We have an exciting temporary full-time opportunity for an Environmental Assessment Officer to join our fast paced, dynamic and vibrant team. This role will see you provide timely and accurate environmental and natural resources management advice and recommendations on development applications consistent with the environmental protection and management goals of Council. 

Guided by our Values, you will:

  • Provide professional support to the Environmental Assessment Unit by applying a basic level of professional Environmental Assessment and planning knowledge.
  • Provide professional Environmental Assessment planning and land use management advice to clients to achieve consistent and equitable outcomes.
  • Assess and prepare reports on less complex development applications to support the Team in optimising productivity.

Eligibility

  • You'll hold a degree level qualification in Environmental science, Environmental planning, Environmental engineering or Environmental and natural resource management.
  • You'll have an open Class C Queensland Drivers Licence or equivalent.
