AddressA pivotal role, there is clear scope for you to make a real impact as an Environmental Engineer / Scientist specialising in contaminated land, with this prominent national consulting firm.
As you would expect, day-to-day matters will span a mixture of office and field activities. Duties include:
- Conduct field investigation works including soil, groundwater, surface water, over-water sediment sampling in connection with site assessments.
- Investigate contaminated sites, groundwater, asbestos, site remediation, acid sulfate soils assessments and waste classification.
- Logging subsurface and contamination conditions in the field.
- Oversee contractors such as drilling rigs, excavators, service locators and traffic control crews to complete works on schedule.
- Apply relevant WA and Australian guidelines for contamination assessment and remediation.
- Adhere to relevant Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Writing reports and preparing proposals for site investigations and inspections.
- Management consideration for Senior candidates

The client will ideally engage an Environmental Engineer / Scientist with circa 5-7 years contaminated land experience. Relevantly experienced candidates with 3+ or 8+ years relevant experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
The client will negotiate a salary package commensurate with capabilities and experience, circa $90,000 - $120,000+ + superannuation.
