Natural Area Consulting Management Services (Natural Area) are currently taking applications for an Environmental Field Technician position within our Field Team. This position will join either one of our Field Conservation depots based at either Malaga and Beeliar (Bibra Lake). The position will be sharing information with our wider Perth-based Environmental team of over 120 employees. Our Environmental Field Technicians are part of a diverse on ground field team that primarily deliver on ground environmental management including; weed control (including herbicide use), revegetation, erosion control, fire fuel load reduction to clients throughout the Perth Metropolitan Region, as well as other areas throughout Western Australia. For excellent team members with the appropriate qualifications and licences, career progression options are available to lead field conservation projects and/or manage teams.There is no option to work from home in this 100% field based position.
Natural Area has additional specialist teams dedicated to native seed collection, native plant nursery, vertebrae pest management, environmental consulting and civil environmental projects

Are you a good fit for Natural Area? If you answer yes to the following then you could be great for our team!
- Capable and wanting to work full time; Mon-Fri with 7am starts.
- Completed an Conservation/Horticultural/Environmental Science or Env Management qualification (not marine based).
- Have reliable personal transport and a WA Drivers Licence.
- Attention to detail, genuine care and passion for the environment.
- Physically fit, self-motivated and able to function in an outdoors team environment.
- Punctual and reliable.
- An Australian or NZ resident/citizen, with accomodation in Perth.
Additionally, applicants with the following attributes will be considered favourably:
- Knowledge of and ability to identify Perth bushland plants and weeds.
- Knowledge of weed control and native revegetation planting techniques.
- Experience with small motors (chainsaw/brushcutter) and using 2-stroke fuel.
The following personal licences and qualifications are required to be provided pre-employment:
- WA Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid (and CPR) certificate
- Police clearance
- OH&S White Card
- Pesticide licence medical and completed application form.
