The City is seeking an Environmental Health Assistant to provide operational support and delivery of compliance related duties within the Community Health team to achieving strong Environmental Health regulatory outcomes and best practice.
This position will:
- Complete monthly water sampling of aquatic facilities and of the Swan River.
- Complete inspection of aquatic facilities for compliance against the Aquatic Facility Code of Practice and follow up and close out of non-compliant results with aquatic facility operators.
- Maintain and update information systems, databases, and documents to ensure critical reporting data and records are stored compliantly
- A range of other Environmental Health duties under the guidance of a qualified Environmental Health Officer
To qualify for this position, applicants must be undertaking an approved university qualification to become an Environmental Health Officer. This position is not suitable for persons studying environmental management or environment science.
Eligibility
To be eligible to work for us, you will need to demonstrate:
- A right to work in Australia (e.g. a birth certificate, current passport or current visa);
- A current ‘C’ class Australian drivers licence; and
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
