Primary Objectives:
To administer Council’s roles and responsibilities under the Food Act 2006, Public Health Act 2005, Public Health (Infection Control for Personal Appearance Services) Act 2003, Environmental Protection Act 1994, Council local laws and other relevant legislation to a high standard.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Strong understanding of the Food Act 2006, Public Health Act 2005, Public Health (Infection Control for Personal Appearance Services) Act 2003, Environmental Protection Act 1994, and Council local laws.
- Proficiency in investigating complaints, gathering evidence, and undertaking enforcement actions according to legal and policy guidelines.
- Excellent ability to assess, process, and evaluate applications and reports with keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with the public, businesses, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to upholding the law and Council policies.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Flexibility to handle a diverse range of duties and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
