Role Responsibilities
- Routinely travel to and inspect all 12 waste facilities compliance and environmental regulations.
- Provide expert advice to your team on environmental best practices and improvements
- Maintain site-based management plans for environmental licensing.
- Conduct environmental awareness/training sessions for staff
- Collaborate with councils, contractors and vendors for sustainable environmental practices.
- Assist and implement waste reduction/collection projects and strategies.
- Implement waste, environmental and health plans.
- Assist with the review of waste management operations for efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Utilise document management techniques effectively utilising Business Management Systems
- Cultivate and promote a safe and inclusive workplace culture, embody company values
Qualifications and Skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering, or extensive relevant environmental management experience essential
- Experience working in local government, waste, or public health
- Computer literacy, preferably in Windows platform and MS Office suite.
- Experience using mapping software (MapInfo, Konect Manager, etc.) and Technology One.
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to/near Toowoomba or Goondiwindi, QLD
