Ausecology has a unique position for the right person interested in large-scale conservation projects across multiple locations in Central QLD.
About the role:
Reporting to the Offsets Manager, the successful candidate will lead a small team while engaged in a range of land management activities (fire management, ecological burns, plantings, fencing, feral animal control and weed management).
This is a permanent, part-time (0.8FTE) to full-time role, working approximately 8 days on and 6 days off. However, flexibility is required to meet client needs and respond to weather impacts.
The point of hire is Biloela. Travel to site during your roster, from the point of hire, is paid. However, travel to and from the point of hire is not paid. FIFO is not offered.

Following qualifications and skills will be highly regarded:
- qualification in land management
- ACDC licence
- S11 and CBM
- chainsaw tickets
- fire training and experience (hazard reduction/ ecological burn)
Role and key responsibilities:
- Delivery of environmental projects, including:
- offsets and revegetation
- large scale weed control
- bush regeneration works
- ecological burns
- Follow field manual protocols, quality assurance and safety procedures
- Adhere to Ausecology's Mobile Management System
- Participate in all HSEQ tasks and contribute to the continuous improvement of Ausecology's Mobile Management System
