About the roleAs the
Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for all aspects of delivery of the French Island Feral Cat Eradication Project. This includes delivery planning, and financial and resource management in accordance with Parks Victoria's policies, procedures, and objectives. You will be responsible for the procurement of pest animal contractors and other services required under the projects. You will also be responsible for obtaining and reporting on all required permits and approvals to undertake project activities including coordinating and developing permit applications. The
Environmental Project Coordinator is responsible for managing project officer(s), contingent workers and contractors as required to deliver project outcomes. The position will play a key part in maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective project coordination and successful project delivery.
We're looking for someone with:- Tertiary qualification in Environment, Science and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is preferable.
- Extensive experience in project management of Environmental Projects, projects working within State Government including demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, budget management and reporting.
- Demonstrated previous experience in pest plant and animal management and its legislative framework is desirable
