AddressThe role: As the Senior Environmental Specialist, you will be an important member of the HSE team, covering site Environmental activities, Community Relations, Indigenous affairs, Permitting & Compliance with NSW Legislations.
Work closely with the site Environmental Superintendent, continuously reviewing the site EMS and providing technical advice to site leadership.

Key Accountabilities:
- Environmental leadership experience on mining operation
- Develop Environmental site plans
- Experienced in permitting / regulatory requirements within NSW
- Improvement in environmental and community relations management and systems.
- Manage site environmental compliance, reporting and statutory investigations
- Environmental monitoring and site performance
- Mining feasibility studies
- Accountable for department budgets
- Strategic planning for site rehabilitation and closure
Must haves:
- 5 + Mining environmental experience
- Degree qualified in related discipline
- Knowledge of approvals and permitting strategies
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Regulatory experience within NSW
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Leadership capabilities
