Environmental & Sustainability Advisor - Bulk Earthworks - Asap

Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Environmental & Sustainability Advisorto join their growing business to work on a civil Bulk Earthworks project. Having similar experience would be ideal.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery this project which is $70m+.
Types of projects include build earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5m to $25m but can go up to $50m+.
This role is for a project which will be based on site in the Fraser Coast area, the candidate will either live locally or DIDO (drive in, drive out) on a Roster basis.
Enviro responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Identify and obtain planning and environmental approvals, permits and licences to facilitate project completion
• Management of environmental assessments to support the delivery of the project
• Ensuring compliance with Company, Project and Statutory Requirements
• Providing guidance, training and support to internal stakeholders on environmental requirements
• Monitoring, reviewing and reporting construction against company requirements, planning & approvals requirements
• Liaison between internal and external stakeholders
• Site visits and coordination
• Data Collection and reporting in relation to sustainability and other ratings

Project Engineering responsibilities include but not limited to

• Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and wider team
• Experience of managing civil projects from scope development to hand over
• A proven track record in managing environmental aspects of projects through construction delivery
• Identify and manage risk through and escalating issues when required

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Science, Engineering or similar
• Minimum 5 - 10 years’+ experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of Environmental Statutory requirements
• Strong project reporting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• A positive and "can do" attitude and ability to meet deadlines
