Our Team
From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.
This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.
Your Role
We are conducting an Expression of Interest for Air Traffic Control Instructors to work within the OneSKY operational training team, providing specialist operational training analysis, curriculum design, training product development and training delivery for the OneSKY program.
Core duties include:
- Conducting assessments on future required training (i.e. Training Needs Analysis)
- Developing the course curriculum and training materials (including practical simulation exercises) to satisfy the outcome of these assessments
- Delivering ATC systems training (including pseudo-pilot functions)
- Managing exercise environments
- Conducting training evaluations and reviews
- Providing ATC systems training advice to the OneSKY program
- Working to budget, quality and schedule requirements
Your Experience:
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
- Designing and developing practical Air Traffic Control simulation exercises for use in a formal training environment
- Designing, developing and delivering training courses
- Providing workplace training and assessment (or similar) and ideally hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or higher)
- Operating ATC simulator platforms with significant knowledge in the data, hardware and software performance requirements and hold a Diploma of Aviation - Air Traffic Control with operational ATC rating/endorsement experience within Tower/Approach and/or Approach/Enroute Control
- Australian Citizenship to be eligible for security clearance.
- Flexibility for some domestic travel
- Valid Drivers License
