The Behaviour Support Practitioner sits within a growing team of experienced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practitioners based in the Albury area. Our team focuses on improving the quality of life of people with disability who may have significant behavioural concerns. Our work aims to reduce the use of restrictive practices by developing strategies for the person and their supports to implement, improving their interactions with others, increased social and community participation, and improved emotional wellbeing.
You will be coming into an already established team of 14 PBS practitioners working across the Murrumbidgee and North East Victorian regions (with the possibility of outreach into other areas). You will receive regular, high quality supervision from a team of advanced practitioners, great peer support within a team of experienced core and proficient practitioners, access to a generous Professional Development allowance, realistic and achievable billable targets and exposure to working in a large, multidisciplinary team of allied health practitioners and psychologists.
Our new premises at Charles Sturt University’s Albury campus is modern, inviting and provides plenty of opportunity to experience life on an active university campus as well as connecting with university staff interested in developing pathways for new graduates to enter into the PBS role.
