Job description

About the role

There is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Equipage Coordinator to join the team.   Reporting to the Integrated Logistics Support Manager this key role will be responsible for coordinating all equipage items and completing all tasks required for Vessel Acceptance, ensuring on time delivery at handover.

Key objectives & responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with relevant departments, plan and ensure timely and accurate requisition of all Support system items for each vessel in accordance with their supply lead times and acceptance dates.
  • Ability to work independently and to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and interpretation of Supply Chain principles, organizational structure, and Legislative provisions, industrial legislation, process workflows and departmental procedures
  • The Equipage Coordinator is to work closely with those departments to document all of the appropriate details.
  • Plan the Audit for handover of spares with the client, organise the audits, conduct audit and generate the deficiency list for hand over.
  • Ensure that all items are secured and controlled based on acceptance and handover dates as determined by the vessel Acceptance Manager.

Skills / Experience / Attributes:

  • Excellent computer skills, competency with MS Office suite;
  • Warehouse Coordinator/Storeman
  • Understanding of the importance of timely acceptance and its potential to impact Boat Acceptance essential
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in warehousing and logistics
  • Stores/Inventory/Data administration
  • Certificate course in inventory management
  • Experience in Maritime / Defence industry (highly desirable)
  • White card (required)
