Producing more than 250,000 ounces of gold each year, Gold Fields' Agnew mine site is located in the Eastern Goldfields region.
It is situated 23 km west of Leinster, 375 km north of Kalgoorlie, and almost 1000km from Perth.
Gold Fields acquired the mine in 2001, and gold is sourced from underground operations and processed via the CIP plant.
Most of the almost 650-strong Agnew workforce reside in Perth and work at the mine via a fly-in/fly-out roster.

Role Details:
Reporting to the Coordinator: Emergency Services & Security, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of company operational and commercial targets in a safe, productive & efficient manner by delivering a comprehensive emergency response & security service to site.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on 7 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
- Demonstrate and maintain a sound level of knowledge and understanding of the underground & surface mining operations, haulage mineral processing and shared use infrastructure to enable a strong understanding of the risks associated with known and potential emergency response scenarios and activities at Agnew;
- Contribute to the delivery of a qualified emergency response service by partaking in training and real-life accident/emergency situations taking direction from delegated personnel;
- Develop external relationships and agreements for mutual aid in an emergency response situation;
- Support in updating and training of Emergency Crisis and Emergency Management processes on site;
- Assist in the development of routine ERT skills training, first aid, skills maintenance training and ERT field scenario training for the Emergency Response Team;
- Provide professional First Aid / Pre-Hospital care service for the site inclusive of business partners, with the medical assessment and appropriate minor treatment of personnel, whilst consulting with Injury Management on applicable cases;
- Deliver the site security management plan, inclusive of searches, inspections, gatehouse duties and CCTV monitoring as required.
About you:
- Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) minimum; Diploma in Health Science desirable
- Possess a valid manual driver's licence
- Cert III in Mines Rescue - Competence in Closed Circuit Regenerative Breathing Apparatus, Open Circuit Breathing Apparatus, Fire Suppression, Hazmat, Rope Rescue, Vehicle Extrication
- Certificate II in Security (Operations) or higher
