The Opportunity
The role is responsible for the timely completion of project pricing for the tender process and working onsite to deliver building work on approved small to medium domestic and commercial construction repairs. The Estimator/Supervisor, is responsible for engaging trades, preparing project schedules and managing the budgets to ensure the timely delivery of quality projects for our clients. The Estimator/Supervisor is a multi-site based role, which is responsible for all site-based operations including safety, quality assurance, customer service and ultimate delivery of the building work.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Promote good relations and strong relationships with clients and others within the Companies business community
- Compile and deliver detailed scope of works
- Compile and deliver accurate pricing and budget breakdowns
- Deliver to the business successful tender results
- Supervise and manage projects with timely and profitable delivery of construction works
- Plan, schedule and drive multiple small to medium domestic and commercial construction projects
- Ensure trades/suppliers adhere to purchase orders, SOW's and quote requests.
- Ensure the project construction schedules are met.
- Ensure budgets are met to ensure profitability on jobs.
- Identify new trades and suppliers as required via company procurement process.
- Drive, manage and adhere company safety processes on all jobs.
- Accurately forecast and achieve forecasted completion dates.
- Ensure revenue targets and other KPIs are met as required.
- Have a detailed understanding and experience in the construction process, critical inspection points, permit requirements and WHS requirements.
- Ensure all relevant licensing requirements, permits, forms, certificates, certification, approvals, design details, safety standards and best practices are managed, adhered and delivered on all projects.
- Use, update and apply all company work systems as directed.
- Provide accurate progress updates for internal and external use.
Skills/ Licenses
- QBCC Supervisors License
Requirements
- Overnight/multisite stays away for work may be required to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- Current valid driving licence.
