ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking the expertise of an office-based Estimator/Project Co-Ordinator within our Karratha operations, responsible for day-to-day estimating and pre shut project Co-ordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides Estimating, administrative and coordination support to project team.
- Uses standard business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.
- Maintains files, records associated with demonstration activities.
- Provides timely and relevant updates to appropriate stakeholders and decision makers.
- Supports appropriate project governance (including risk and issue management and resolution) and ensures it is maintained.
- Works with appropriate groups where required to exchange information and resources.
- Manages Project specific Purchase orders to suppliers / sub-contractors & Materials.
- Assists with the creation, maintenance and reporting on the project plan and schedule.
- Participates in project schedule review meetings and update schedules.
- Assists in maintaining the integrity of integrated project schedules.
- Supports development of weekly tendering reports, including forecasting of upcoming projects.
- Assists in schedule development and monitoring for assigned areas.
- Supports compliance with standardised processes, systems and tools.
- Maintains the relationship with contracting and other client project planning stakeholders.
- Provides technical support to project stakeholders.
- Ensure the team members are using the Business tools as they are intended.
Pre-Requisites
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite of products including Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Must have previous experience creating costings, invoicing, raising Purchase Orders.
- Highly organised, diligent with a team centric focus
- Have 3 years Estimating / Project-Co-ordination experience within the mining industry.

- Must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical including regular drug and alcohol screenings.
Desirable Experience
- Previous exposure within shutdown services or provider
- Trade background with Supervisory experience
- Ideally have document control experience
- Ideally understand mine technology and autonomous operations
- Previous experience working for a Tier One Mining Organisation will be highly regarded.
