About the Role
The Food and Beverage Event Services Manager, reports to our Director of Food and Beverage and will oversee the conference and events outlet service, within our hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. The Food and Beverage Event Services Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills, coupled with a passion for creating positively memorable experiences for a diverse range of clientele.
Some of the responsibilities include:
• Building and nurturing positive, professional relationships with both guests and colleagues alike.
• Managing service across all venues and service periods.
• Ensuring venues are prepared for service according to defined standards.
• Conducting pre-service meetings.
• Ensuring all opening, handover and closing checklists are complete.
• Ensure that all relevant guest information is being communicated to the service team and the kitchen.
• Daily administrative and reporting.
• Developing and maintaining service standards.
• Managing supplies inventory.
Qualifications
• Food and Beverage Event Management highly regarded
• Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to work with a flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader
• Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills
• A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
