How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…

The Experience Melbourne Branch works in partnership to position Melbourne as the events capital of Australia and destination of choice for visitors. The Events Ticketing Coordinator is part of the Premier Events Team within the Experience Melbourne branch and coordinates tickets and ticketing related to ticketed events.

The role involves liaison and communication with the Premier Events and Event Marketing teams on elements associated with marketing, ticketing, programming, operations, budgeting, acquittal and other duties as required. The role encompasses significant administrative components relating to an efficient and effective end to end ticketing process.

 What you will bring… (Selection criteria)

 All CoM employees will demonstrate an ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and City of Melbourne’s ICARE values – Integrity, Courage, Accountability, Respect and Excellence;

  • Proven experience in a ticketing role working on a major event(s). 
  • Experience and knowledge in development of ticketing strategies, event ticketing operational processes, ticketing build and seating map development, ticketing sales tracking and reporting.
  • Project management skills including the ability to provide input into the planning process, manage project plans and manage budgets and revenue targets.
  • Experience using ticketing agent software programs, a proven ability to understand complex reporting lines and manage competing demands, onsite management of box office administration and staffing during live event(s) period.
