Excavator/loader/yard man

WA’s leading new home builders’ material recycling and waste recovery company, we are a medium-sized business operating 3 depot sites throughout the metro area. All material collected is delivered back to these yards for further separation and recycling.

We are proud to have diverted more than 1.5 million tonnes from landfills over the past 10 years. This equates to 95% of builders' waste and materials collected by earthcare recycling from new home sites having been repurposed, reused, upcycled, or recycled.

We are looking for a motivated excavator & loader operator who can manage their workload effectively and has experience with loading/feeding crushers and screens for our Wattleup site. 

The role is multi-faceted and requires a capable, well-organized individual to feed an 883 reclaimer with new home builder's waste using a 16 to 20-tonne excavator while monitoring the conveyor belts, the picking station, the stackers ensuring continuous safety and productiveness and able to keep the yard maintained and running efficiently. 

You will also be required to do a Prestart and assist with maintenance such as greasing and some spanner work.

We are looking for someone who can get their hands dirty and is willing to provide some leadership to a small 3-man team on the ground and assist in keeping the work site clean and tidy.

Pending a successful interview an immediate start is available for candidates able to meet the expectations of the business. Remuneration including superannuation and conditions shall be agreed upon before commencement. Performance reviews will be conducted during the probation period. 

To be considered you must be able to meet the following:

• Hold Current C Class Drivers Licence (HR Advantagous) or higher
• HRWL (high-risk work license) for LF (forklift) advantageous
• Must be able to demonstrate and be competent in Excavation & Front End Loader Operations
• Experience operating Screening & Crushing Equipment
• Experience working in/around a busy yard
• Communication & organisational skills
• Uphold a strong safety culture
• Bring a positive outlook to work.

Key Requirements: 

• Complete daily pre-starts on the equipment you are assigned too
• Work as a team or solo
• Be proactive, reliable, and able to take direction
• Physically Fit
• Own reliable transport
• Pass medical and D&A test
• Able to start at 6am M-F
• Minimal iPad/tablet/smartphone knowledge of workflows and emails
• Ideally, do a minimum half day every 2nd Saturday
