Job description

Jacobs is looking for passionate and driven professionals to help deliver the transformation required to meet the challenges in the Water sector. We are growing our team in NSW covering all experiences, disciplines and grades associated with the Water infrastructure and water resources sector.

You will be joining a globally recognised brand, working with a team of professionals who have a successful track record in delivering water and wastewater solutions for the betterment of our environment and our communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established thriving business with a strong pipeline of projects. Jacobs has secured multiple major infrastructure projects and multi-year contracts with leading public and private clients.  

The current opportunities are based in Sydney and Newcastle. You will, however, be joining a truly connected ANZ Water Solutions business who provide the full suite of consulting services from advisory and engineering through to operations and asset management. 

The Jacobs water business has water infrastructure and water resources capability in every major city around Australia working across a multitude of markets such as Utilities, Government, Transport, Resources, and Energy Transitioning.  

Our team is currently working on projects that have a lasting and enduring positive impact on our communities such as Water Resource Recovery Facilities for better environmental and energy use outcomes and major desalination plants in response to our drying climate.  

Jacobs works across the full asset lifecycle from advisory and strategic planning through to operations and asset management. 


Here’s What You’ll Need 

Our strong pipeline means that we are currently seeking candidates across a range of roles at a variety of levels. 

·       Successful candidates will have an inclusive mindset and enjoy collaborating across geographies as part of diverse teams. 

·       Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering such as

Civil, Mechanical, Process, Structural, Electrical and/or Digital Delivery.

·       Chartered member of Engineers Australia or eligible to apply for membership.

·       Years of experience commensurate with the level of role being applied for.

·       Proactive approach to problem solving and be a strong communicator across the various platforms which make for a truly flexible workplace. 

·       Be open-minded and willing to adapt with change and transformation.  

·       Demonstrate a passion for the Water industry. 

·       Experience in an area, or a number of areas, across the Water asset lifecycle from strategic planning, planning, business cases, engineering design, operations and maintenance, and asset management.
