Form of workA rare opportunity has arisen in our Food Services team for a skilled, energetic and talented chef to provide strong management and promote the delivery of high-quality food and catering service requirements for Bairnsdale Regional Health Service. This position will suit a flexible professional seeking to engage in a new challenge.
The Contract: Ongoing Fulltime, 80.00 hours per fortnight with monthly Accrued Day Off (ADO)
The Position:
The Executive Chef will provide strong management and have the capability to deliver high quality food and catering service requirements that meet food health safety standards, relevant legislation and the needs of patients, residents, clients, visitors and staff. The Executive Chef will develop work-plan objectives for the department that align to the BRHS Strategic Plan, this will include managing food service provision with established budgets and providing leadership to Food Services employees to ensure goals are achieved.

Key criteria required:
- A trade certificate cook.
- Hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Level 2).
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a head chef in a similar Team Leadership role.
- Self-motivated with the ability to develop and maintain a positive, efficient and high-functioning team.
- Proven ability in the understanding of cost control and inventory issues in a commercial kitchen environment.
