Position Purpose: To lead and manage the Marketing and Communications and Civic Events teams to deliver effective media, marketing, event, communication, and engagement strategies to promote Council’s brand, services, and business objectives to both internal and external stakeholders.
Nature and Scope of the Position:
The Executive Manager Strategic Communications and Engagement is responsible for:
- Evaluating existing communication activity as well as developing and implementing new communication strategies to serve, inform and inspire the community.

- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with organisational goals and community needs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, government officials, and business leaders.
- Strong background in strategic planning, with experience in developing and implementing marketing, media, and community engagement strategies.
